I was just sick and tired of my 9-5, so I decided to make money online on a shoestring budget. Soon after in the summer of 2007, I was unceremoniously let go from job! Yep I was down-sized.

Hi, My name is Patricia Kagwiria Makhulo, fondly known as Party Plan Pat. I really don't take myself too seriously. I am fun, easy going creative and a total brainiac that loves to read and figure things out! Like many today I found myself out of a job and had to think quickly on my feet.

I have always worked in the service industry with Children and Teens. Very rewarding, BUT little to nothing in pay, AND the RESPONSIBILITY...OVERWHELMING! I WAS DRAINED. I COULDN'T DO IT ANY MORE!

I have had the jobs, worked myself to exhaustion, and lived through incompetent bosses making more than me. Busted my behind doing all the work while they, with no shame take all the credit! I got tired of waiting for the promotions.

Climbing the corporate ladder, like the MLM/Networking business model of get 3 who get 3, who get three is very tedious and takes forever! I was really resentful of the lazy people that would boot lick and schmooze to get to the top, (I was done with the rubbish)!

Interestingly enough, while I was going through this experience, I was also building a Home Party Plan Business during my spare time.

I was making 100 dials/day!

I attended the daily trainings. I did 3-Ways with my Upline. I used the 3-Foot Rule! I bought into the lead Co-ops and talked to my share of dead-beat leads!

My no show rate was 98%.

When I did get people to listen to the presentation, then I could not get them to commit. If I did get them to commit, they would just sit and occupy space in my downline doing nothing. Consequently, I became a motivator rather than a business builder!

Angry,frustrated & bothered, in the middle of the night (and I remember this so clearly as though it were just yesterday) I turned, you guessed it to THE INTERNET.

I pulled up my Google Search Engine and typed into the search bar, does network marketing work? I could not believe my eyes! Right before my eyes, at the very top of the search engine rankings was a website titled network marketing does work!

I thought I had stumbled on some serious voodoo. This was Black Magic at it's best! (Today I know differently, its call SEO- Search Engine Optimization).

SO I chalked it up to a bad joke, that I was really tired and my mind was playing games on me! I immediately turned off the computer; disgusted I went to bed.

What do you think I did the next day when I woke up? I went back to Google and typed in the question and had the same experience and continued to do so for the next 3 Weeks! Needless to say, the rest is history.

I had finally figured things out. The power of the Internet and how to leverage it and myself!
